Pope Francis announced an extraordinary Holy Year with ten years in advance, a historic event, 15 years after the Great Jubilee of 2000 wanted by St. John Paul II. The Jubilee will begin with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica on December 8, 2015, and will end on November 20, 2016. Visit Rome and don’t miss the opportunity to “see the Pope“, receive the Papal Blessing, pray together with other Christian faithful, and live directly this very extraordinary Holy Year.

During this tour  you will travel the ancient road that connects Rome to Loreto, the two capitals of spirituality in Italy. A truly unique journey with departure from Rome and arrival at Assisi, the hometown of Saint Francis. From there, tranfer to Loreto.

Day 1 BENVENUTI A ROMA! (Dinner) We are pleased to offer comfortable transfer from the Rome airport to your hotel at scheduled times. Your tour leader will be at the airport to greet you. There will be time to relax this afternoon before dinner with fine local wines at our hotel.

Day 2 VATICAN MUSEUM AND FOUR PAPAL BASILICAS OF ROME  (B, L, D) What a way to experience the Sistine Chapel! Exceptionally, our tour guide will be able to speak freely in the chapel to us, before the crowds enter when SILENZIO is strictly enforced by the guards. After a coffee break in the museum’s cafeteria, our tour continues to the Raphael Rooms, the Sala Di Chiaroscuro and the secret Nicolina Chapel inside the walls of the Vatican.  Finally, we go outside to the Papal gardens. We will stroll through the private park of the Pontiff to view the beautiful plantings and statues—and perhaps spot a Pope, or two— as is only possible at this time!
During this first part of your private Tour you will visit the Basilica of Saint Peter.
After deliocious luch we are going to visit other 3 Papal basilicas

Day 3 Full day tour with Papal Audience (when available). (B, L, D) This morning we head to the Vatican; this time for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Pope Francis announced an extraordinary Holy Year ten years in advance, a historic event. Jubilee is a special year of remission of sins and universal pardon. What a special time to be at the Vatican!
Experience the awe and wonder of the Papal Audience as Cardinals preach in various languages reaching out to pilgrims and visitors from all over the world. Listen to the Pope’s weekly message as he enters the central stage.
For the lunch you will get a taste of Italian cuisine in a family style restaurant in the characteristic area of Trastevere. This lively area of tiny winding streets gives a taste of what one imagines Italy to be like, with cobblestone streets and music filled trattorias on every corner.

Day 4 Assisi (B,L,D) After breakfast we make our way to the famous town of Assisi.  
On the way from Rome to Assisi you will have the possibility to visit The Sanctuary of Merciful Love and Mother Hope. People from all over the world come to this small medieval village just about six kilometers south of Todi, some on Pilgrimage, to visit The Sanctuary of Merciful Love and Mother of Hope, located in Collevalenza. It owes its fame to the Shrine of the Merciful Mother of Hope, Madre Speranza.
The second par of the day will be dedicated to Assisi, the home of one of Italy’s greatest, beloved saints, St. Francis. The Church of St. Mary of the Angels (Santuario Santa Maria degli Angeli) much venerated as the place of St. Francis' death. Inside the grand Baroque basilica are two small, humble structures: the Capella del Transito and the Porziuncola.
After Assisi we go to the Marche region. And our accommodation  is going to be in local organic farm.

Day 5 Loreto e Corinaldo (B, L, D) Today  we make our way to Corinaldo, hometown of Saint Maria Goretti, the child martyr who forgave her murderer. We will then arrive in Loreto, renowned for the Holy House of the Virgin Mary, where we can pass through the holy door to gain an indulgence.

Day 6 Good-bye Marche (Breakfast)
The tour officially ends. You will be accompanied by your  tour leader to the to the airport (or train station) and assisted with check-in formalities to board your flight home.
